I was surprised by this one. The nose shows very ripe red fruits, almost jammy, with plenty of spice, black pepper and a touch of liquorice — at first I honestly thought it was a Syrah. On the palate it’s smooth and generous, with dry tannins giving it good structure and a long, persistent mouthfeel full of ripe fruit and spice. The finish is dry and lingering. And yes, it turns out it’s a Cabernet Sauvignon — a really interesting and characterful drop.

I don’t have many things to say about this wine apart from the fact it’s perfect for all occasions. I hope to see more of this stoked and available. 5 stars !
