I would recommend this to a friend!
This is my first "Villages" wine from De Bortoli. Expected, from the varieties, for it to be a savoury, somewhat lean wine in the European vein. Whilst definitely having the Spanish palate, it was a luscious, beautifully balanced drop in the Australian vernacular. Loved it....Well done, De Bortoli!

$18 no risk there. Medium bodied, easy drink, great winter pizza wine and thats how I enjoyed it. Is it the greatest example of the varieties? Does it matter. Enjoyable to the last drop.

Vineyard: In the Northern parts of the Heathcote region, Tempranillo and Touriga Nacional are varieties that are robust, dense and highly perfumed. Both varieties are grown in the 'village' of Corop, the Tempranillo from Heathcote Ridge and the Touriga from the Willoughby vineyard.
