Far from being a typical big Barossa Shiraz. Lacking fruit flavours and expected Barossa character. I can think of at least 6 other 2014 Barossa Shiraz examples I have enjoyed recently that I would rate far ahead of this one.

In a premium package, this did not live up to expectations. Some thin, unripe tones and a weak finish. It lacked the full flavours I would expect at this level.

Barossa Shiraz to the end. A great find coupled with a perfectly cooked Rib Fillet

I have spent $70-$80 on wines that tasted this good and was glad that I did on those occasions. For just over $30, it leaves me thinking that it will be hard to want to drink anything else. A fine, succulent and irresistible wine that will satisfy even the most discerning of wine appreciators. If you don't tend to spend more than $15-$20 on wines, take the plunge and spend a little extra on this gem, you won't regret it. If you have money to burn and you love dwelling in the $50-$80 territory, save the rest and get the quality you are used to at a fraction of the cost. This wine is stunning.
