I've been itching to try try mezcal forever but it's just too expensive here in Oz. Then this little beauty popped up on the shelves, heavily discounted. Last bottle...mine! I'm not a big tequila drinker but my taste runs (unfortunately) to the bg buck$ aged stuff, so was super keen to compare mezcal. First impression: super smooth, not the barking heat you get from white tequila, easily sippable. Sweeter than tequila, slightly smokey & peppery aftertaste. Going back for the traditional 'lick sip suck' was ultimately unecessary, it's nice enough without the extras (though delicious w salt & lime nonetheless). A joy to share with friends, I hope Dan's gets more mezcal in stock.

What an amazing (& vastly underrated drink). Don't be fooled into thinking you need to pay megabucks for a sublime alcoholic beverage. Been into this Mezcal since the mid 80's & it never disappoints. Gets smoother with each shot. Smokey, earthy & agavey - you can taste the Oaxacan sun with every sip, absolutely delicious. Just make sure you have a quality cocktail salt & plenty of limes!
