Easy Drinking, less potent than Shiraz enjoyed with tender meats tonight.A fair price for a solid rich berry Coonawarra you can’t go wrong.

This is a very consistent Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon that always delivers on depth of flavour & is also great value for money. I have been drinking this for many years, as l have the Shiraz & both wines have never been disappointing!

This wine is consistently good and gives Coonawarra mouth feel from the start.Cellars well and thus represents good value. 2021/2022 particularly. Note that this wine is also available in 375ml format

Magnificent red wine and always has been and when Dan's have a special on, buy plenty because it is really good value!

One of the best valued wines available. Good clean fruit, well balanced with a good finish. An easy drinking wine with character and a typical Coonawarra Cabernet. I have been drinking The Siding Cabernet back to 2012 and each year has been good. Also this wine will benefit with a couple of years in the cellar.

2020 vintage, decanted 60 minutes: This is quite young to be drinking a wine as tannic as cabernet, and while they're trying to make this one "approachable on release", I would qualify that by saying that it is only true with a relatively long decanting to soften the tannins and get some aeration happening - I went for 60 minutes, but it was still a tad harsh even then. But with a little more time it really opened up and revealed quite a lovely wine for the price - I was impressed by the complexity as it evolved and opened up in the glass. I noticed dark fruit/dark berries, mint, a hint of licorice, even whiffs of some more complex tertiary aromas like tobacco and leather as time went on. A balanced wine with aromas of medium intensity, a nice weight on the palate and lightly gripping tannins, with a decent level of complexity and a medium length of finish - for the price point, this is good value, I might give it a point score of mid-high 80's. But just be sure to decant well!
