Generally like muscadet sur lie, but this is like nothing I've ever tried and I won't be trying it again. Eugh is all I can say.

I do love France and most things French but this was too acidic for me. I found it left a light burn in my throat. Isn’t it great that we have so many other options. Love the DM range.

We spent six months in France, while I worked in Cherbourg. It gave us time to explore the wide range of wines available in the hypermarket, the speciality shops and of course the restaurants and cafes. Muscadet was very comfortable, although seen by the waiters in cafes and "normal" restaurants as a bit posh if it was "sur Lie". Of course, the Posh restaurants wanted to serve something more expensive, for the food as well as the wine. Interestingly, those Posh restaurants sometimes justified their prices and attitudes, but not always :)

I was expecting crisp dry white with floral and fruit Characters and I got a medium bodied oak driven white with absolutely no fruit. I’m struggling to finish my glass as it reminds me of old school Chardonnay
