Have only had one bottle so I'm curious to see how uniform the batches are. For what it is at this price point it is serious value for money, mellow enough to rival some better and more expensive Calvados with more apple with its lack of age.

Love the smoothness of a good Calvados but struggled to find a good one in Perth. This one fits the bill and is now one our favourite after dinner drinks

This Calvados has a very strong taste of apple, because it's not aged. In my view, the longer a Calvados ages, the less it retains of the distinctive Calvados flavour, and the more it tastes like other French brandies. It's as fiery as a good Armagnac, with a slightly sweet finish. It's rated Fine, which is equivalent to VS. I'm amazed at the price, as I've often paid about twice as much for a decent Calvados. All in all, it's a fine brandy at a nice price.

For a non-vintage Calvados, this is great value. Very good on the nose and a fine tawny colour indicative of good ageing. Superior to many more expensive. With its Appelation Pays d'Auge you know it is 100% apple based (no pears in this one). This contributes to its fine nose. Enjoy!

Being a regular Rum and Brandy drinker I am always on the look out for something new. Having never tried Apple Brandy, I grabbed this off the shelf. It's a superb alternative to a good brandy. The not so subtle hint of crisp apple leaves an amazing after-taste that reminds you of having Apple juice as a kid. On that note, I almost never mix my drinks, only neat, on the rocks or with a bit of water. So I cannot say how well it would go in a cocktail (which is not really my kind of thing) I split a bottle with a mate, it gives you a good mellow high. It made for an awesome night, good food, a good drink and great company. Went to bed at 1 am, slept like a baby and woke up at 7 am with zero after-effects. Actually, I was feeling well rested. It's not the smoothest of drinks, but it's still a very palatable flavor and texture. Price wise, I would say it's neither cheap nor expensive. Definitely a must try.
