While I generally dislike paying a lot for alcohol, I must say St Germain elderflower liqueur redeems its cost. Not only does it taste spectacular, but it comes in a magnificent bottle that I’m finding hard to throw away.

I love St Germain! It elevates your cocktails with a twist on the traditional. Try as a margarita, with your favourite bubbles, Palomas, Mojitos and so many more. Pairs well with gin tequila and vodka. A must have for the home bar

Quite palatable neat, if a bit sweet. Obvious floral notes, exactly as expected. Barely discernible alcohol warmth, very smooth. Great in cocktails. Bought it to add to a Courtside, which is a new favourite for me. I deleted the sugar syrup from the recipe and added a bit more liqueur. Will have this in the cabinet from now on, I think.

As my usual Elderflower liqueur was out of stock, I took the leap and bought the St Germain. I can report that it is utterly delicious and worth every cent. It is made from real elderflowers and is exquisite straight on ice, I would refrain from mixing it with lemonade as it is too precous.
