Worth the 90 points that James Halliday gave it. A very good wine from an excellent viticulturist, winemaker and visionary from the Barossa Valley. A meaty earthy wine suited to a thick medium rare steak, game, beef burgundy etc. Damian Tscharke grows a number of interesting Spanish/Italian/Portuguese varieties carefully selected to suite the Barossa. (He is one of the leaders of the pack with a fresh approach to alternate varieties) If you enjoy this wine you are likely to enjoy his Montepulciano even more (rated it 5 out of 5)
