I find this brandy excellent for when we use brandy in our cooking. And I find it quite smooth in drinks especially this time of year in eggnog.

Well, I gave a scathing review of the changes that Pinnacle Drinks have foisted on us with this one. I thought to be fair dinkum I should try it out also. As I said in another review, I only ever drank the J.P. Chenet XO. IMO, without the slightest doubt, it was the best brandy available in Australia. Plus, the price was unbeatable. Enter the 'new model'. I notice the little things, for example, they have eliminated the 'pull strip' that opens the seal. That's gone. "Another" cost saving effort, of which I disapprove. I have mine over ice. The tast is neglible. The finish, is fairly smooth. But nothing like the XO used to be. Accordingly I'm dumping Chenet and going back to Black Bottle brandy. Has much more character and strength overall. For the price, this is not worth it. This is another example of some deal done over an expensive lunch, in a flash restaurant somewhere; to make extra cash for the crew handling this product. I am unimpressed!
