An unusual but very pleasant drink. It's great over ice or used as a mixer.

WOW!! I did not expect this spiced mead to become my favourite drink. It tastes great, the spices warm up your insides and is full bodied and smooth. Not sweet, very pleasant, which makes this even more palatable for a spiced mead wine. Highly recommend it!

Of all of the meads I have tried, this one has the best balance between complex Flavour and smoothness... while reinforcing that it is also THE smoothest to drink. Skip the normal Maxwell mead. It seems nice at first (and it is), but once you try the spiced, you feel like you're wasting time with the normal one. Even the Maxwell Liquour is nice, but can be skipped in favour of Spiced. Perfect straight, "iced" with frozen blueberries and spiked with a little quality vodka or gin, mixed with a good strong non-sugary homemade ginger beer (or Fever Tree), or a combination of the blueberries, vodka and ginger beer... it is also strong for what it is though, even without vodka/gin spiking. I have also tried mixing this with high end rums and bourbons (the kind you should drink neat/on the rocks only), and those combinations can make for very nice, complex summer drinks. When had on its own though, it feels more like a happy winter's drink.

I had not tried mead before this but love it. I expect it will be delightful in winter. Great chilled in summer. Nice balance of sweet and spice.
