This may have been an old bottle but It was very disappointing. Not much flavour and hardly any bubbles. Nothing like the French product.

Disappointing. Crisp and more like prosecco, which is often tasteless like drinking fresh air, and lacks depth. There is very little if any creaminess and depth with zero hint of the yeastiness. Original Cordon Rouge is not yet matched by any of these ' others ' whether it be New Zealand or Australia, and expected more from Tamar Valley french winemaker. The Pirie is far superior for a Tamar Valley wine. but Polly from d'Arenberg is the best in Australia, being made from the 3 grape varieties.
