I poured the other half bottle into a jug for an hour or so and it was minimally, if at all better than the other half last night.

I opened a 2017 bottle tonight, 16 June 2022, poured half into a half bottle for the next evening, the other half into a jug and then back into the bottle, and an hour later, it's drinkable and not without some interesting aspects, and as someone else here wrote, probably needs more time being aired, but it's too acidic, sour and undistinguished for its price. A $7.00 2018 Grampians shiraz at half price clearance was far better than this half price clearance at $13.00. I see here that someone paid $70 for a bottle of it in some restaurant sometime. Maude have lercy. Stand by for a report on the other half bottle tomorrow night - if I remember . . . this one is getting better as I drink more of it, but still not good enough.
