So I read some of the reviews about it being very much like perfume, and I doubted how much that would be the case, it's ginger and shochu, not much room to be weird right? It's pretty weird, doesn't actually taste like ginger at all, but can be good. I've found so far that mixing it with Cointreau is actually pretty good, but drinking it straight is just too much. This was a bit different to other things I might describe as being like perfume, and I probably wouldn't recommend it if you're after something that tastes like ginger.

I am not experienced with Shochu, but I enjoyed this one. Ginger is a rarer flavour and it worked well especially as a mixer.
