A gorgeous dry not too sweet Sake that embodies all you want in thus classic Japanese drink and as a bonus, it is fairly high in alcohol content

We've made a mistake of not reading the previous review . The taste is totally repulsive and it smells like a cheap moonshine . Obviously, it's a matter of taste , but this substance has nothing in common with a typical shochu taste . The description states " floral aromas with wood and lime notes . " I'd state " wood chip timber aromas with methanol and acetone notes . Best for colour stripping and sanitation of toilet . "

Please stay away. Flavour is overwhelming and very strong on palate. The notes ofAniseed and Star Anise were so strong. I'm a regular shochu, sake, soju drinker but this one is off. To put into perspective in the best possible sense, this drink will provide the similar experience when you taste Mezcal for the first time. Don't get me wrong, I love Mezcal. But this Hikimi Shochu, I'll never buy again.
