Absinthe is an alcohol that has historically been misunderstood. For countless years it was considered a dangerous product, the cause of madness, hallucinations and worst of all seditious thoughts. There are probably no absinthes that have ever been on the Australian market that I have not tried - Croatian, French and more domestic brands like Green Fairy and Marylin Mansons "Mansynthe". Green and black varieties. I scoured my local area for any good absinthe today, 4 different stores and no luck until I found this. With most absinthes, you could blindfold someone and they wouldn't be able to differentiate between absinthe and ouzo. With most absinthes you pay a premium for an underproof and undersized bottle. This is 60% ABV, a full 700 mL and an amazingly smooth, well balanced absinthe at a price that is great value for money. To top it all off it is a quality Australian product and one that exceeds many of its European counterparts.
