Pungent with floral, oaky and meaty notes, along with other typical fruit components. Dark, and with decent tannins, just short of chewy or astringent. Cab/shiraz is one of my favourite blends and this '21 release is one of the most delicious wines I have had at this price point.

There is nothing wrong with this wine, it’s just too expensive for what it is.

I've been cellaring and drinking this fine example of the Au blend of shiraz/ cab for many years. The oldest remaining ones I have are some 88s from their museum release in the late 90s. My other favourites were the 96 and 98, the former being chosen for the PM's cellar at The Lodge many moons ago. The 2000 and 2002 are both drinking well, softened somewhat but plenty of fruit. At this price, well below RRP, I'll be adding to my collection
