Majella continue to produce, this a typical example from this fine producer, potentially under valued and good bang for buck. I think this will be a better wine in 5 or 6 years time

A fantastic red and at a reasonable price to boot.

Purple in colour, with a deep red hue. Beautiful, lush dark fruit on the nose, with a palate of plums and hints of fruitcake complexity give great length and backbone. Nicely balanced tannin and oak - I really enjoyed it.

The 2010 Majella is a classic example of the Iconic Coonawarra Cabernet great fruit that mellows out to the classical dry abc earthy finish you expect with a Coonawarra Cabernet To be enjoyed now however if you have the patience lay it down for a few years and experience an Australian classic

Year in year out the Lynn family and winemaker Bruce Gregory make some best Cabernet Sauvignon to can out of Coonawarra. Opened a 1999 luckily it had a good cork, friends were blown away how beautifully it drunk. The 2011 followed, a textbook cab still very young and full of potential, we all could believe how fantastic and true house style the wine was. 2011 is considered a ride off year in Coonawarra, like 99, yet many of 99 wines (Wynns stable included) are looking fresher than the so called great 98 wines. Hat off to the team at Majella.
