Purchased based on the generally positive reviews indicating a medium/full character (especially in colour). While the colour was certainly impressive, the wine failed to deliver in all other respects even with appropriate temperature and decanting. I should have been somewhat suspicious of the fact the label doesn’t bear the vintage year.

Does not taste like any Pinot noir I have ever drunk before. Used it for cooking with some trepidation.

Decanted for 2 hours. Harsh green capsicum, sour vegital and hints of strawberry notes on the nose. Unfortunately palate was same as the nose. Sharp tannins and alcohol on the finish. After decanting over 5 hrs it got a bit better with some more red berry and a hint of plum coming through. Sat in the decanter overnight and improved next day making it less harsh and sour but a better drinking experience.

I should have read the review advising to decant for 2-3 hours. As such, I did not and I felt this was a little bit lacking in oomph. The flavours really didn't come through and I was slightly disappointed. Will update this review if I have a different experience but there are other pinot's to try first!

Decant for about an hour and its great. Probably a 3 to 4 star but great wine at the price $15 - $17.

Easy drinking, tasty and light on the pallete. Enjoyed with pork
