Another great wine from Serafino range. It has become one of my favourites. I have recommended to my friends to try it.

A full-bodied, rich wine (2022 vintage) that successfully combines great smoothness with a seriously dry finish. While a touch too rich without quite enough savoury balance for my taste, this is a quality Montepulciano: a cut above the ocean of so-samey, over-simple, over-rich Oz reds (usually shiraz) in the same $15-20 price bracket. A good example of an emerging (Italian) variety worth trying - especially for shiraz drinkers - if you haven't. Serafino is putting out some good stuff. It's super-refreshing, 'different' Sorrento rose (2023) was my find of this summer!
