I am a fan of cool climate Shiraz eg. Coonawarra's, and this fits into that category nicely. I intend buying a few more to see how they age.

The high-falutin' learned opinions of the wine experts are lost on me. I drink Blue Pyrenees Shiraz because it goes with lamb cutlets or spring lamb. I don't carefully analyse the wine, I simply know that it goes especially well with tender grilled meat, rosemary leaves and salt & pepper.

2020 vintage It has most of the makings of good wine, but somehow it just does not come together. First, there are distinctively harsh tannins; second, there is some residual bitter aftertaste. Perhaps, a few years of cellaring may resolve this problem.

A cooler climate shiraz that is full bodied now (some earlier years were not so much) and is probably a more expensive wine than it currently sells for. Goes with just about anything but with pasta (dinner) and cheese&apple (after dinner) works well
