This Armagnac is just fantastic in every way. The lovely bottle, the beautiful colour, the amazing nose and then the taste....it is just soooooo beautiful and sooooo smooth! Expensive....yes, but worth the money. In my opinion Chabot XO is the Bollinger / Krug of Armagnac's.

If I am correct, it was founded by the brother of the Camus Cognac distillery founder. Like many Armagnacs, it is generally drier than Cognacs which tend to be sweeter. Very well balanced with a delicate nose and dry after taste. I am no aficionado - I just like drinking it. For savouring, not quaffing.

Seriously smooth like water at room temp, tasty with fantastic notes that dance across the mouth and a fantastic buzz of good alcohol. Maybe one of the best brandies in this price range and super worth paying the extra for and you won't be disappointed. .

Super smooth, not harsh at all, it is so well balanced with delicious flavours and a long warm finish. Perfect to enjoy after a meal, very hard to beat. Great value for money coming from a scotch drinker ;)
