strange taste too bland and something not right I wanted this as a light liqueor for guests but was quite embarrassed with the taste

Looking at the other reviews post-purchase, this is for cooking only and not drinkable. A regretful purchase.

Marsala is an important ingredient in some Italian dishes and this is perfect for it. The sweet Boronia marsala is not suitable at all. I also add it to other dishes where it can add a depth of flavour without too much of an obvious alcohol flavour, eg the secret ingredient in my sausages in onion gravy.

This Marsala wine is absolutely perfect for making a French classic dish of Veal escalops, ‘Sauté de veau au champignons’. Everyone loves this dish

Trying to obtain a quality Marsala (a Stravecchio or Vergine) in Australia is pretty much impossible. The best of this variety is superb. Unfortunately, the "best" that is available is nothing more a cooking wine. It is time Australian wine merchants got with the program. In Sicily and in the rest of Europe a good Marsala is a common aperitivo, very easy to get and very reasonably priced.

Might be good for cooking but to drink its so bland and dont eben taste like much else than water. Going for the Baronia next time, would ask for my money back as it eben tasted off, i thought it may habe been on the shelf too long. It should hab a sticker in front saying For Cooking Only.
