Red and blue fruits as in cherry and blue plum flavours. Hi acidity but no tannic grip makes it ideal for many dishes. Surprised me for the quality at that price.

Straight out of the bottle, this is a restrained, tight, savoury wine. Very little on the nose, and mainly earthy/minerally dried Mediterranean herbs on the palate. But when paired with food (even, something simple like crackers and cheddar!), this wine magically opens up. A soft blend of red fruit and cherry at the front of the palate, pepper oaky vanilla notes through the middle and a smooth tannic finish. Not a very long tail though. A simple honest wine - best when accompanied by food!
