Excellent flavorsome white that flies in the face of any suggestion that you can't get a good wine for a bargain price. Fruity and just delicious, this is one of the best buys of the year.

Refreshing but flavour some. If you visit the town of Soave as I have done several times, you’ll understand why: excellent with fresh cheeses, asparagus, artichokes, olives. If you are a carnivore, outstanding with rare grilled meat (yes- red meat!) and carpaccio.

This wine changes quite a bit as it warmed from ~12 degrees C. Initially very restrained nose - think desert bones, slightly metallic foretaste & moreso on back palate. Like many Italian wines was more approachable when paired with food - Italian sausage & charcuterie for us. When warmer, say 16-18 C, the nose softens to suggest pears, but the flavours remain dry, becoming almost sherbet on the tongue and more metallic on the back palate. I'd say quite a bit of Sulphur dioxide or other preservative in this wine as it didn't change much even after a few days in the fridge.

How can a review of this wine (2018 vintage) from 2012 be relevant ?

I always enjoyed a Soave in UK / EUR ....this is a very palatable drop...tho needs to be very chilled
