If you're looking for an alternative to either the Belgian or German wheat beers, do look further. They do say quite clearly "this beer isn’t just a riff on a classic; this is Aussie Wheat Beer", and I suppose they believe that's a good thing. It's not. The floral, citrusy elements of wheat beer are there, but simultaneously not well enough balanced with bitter yet too mild to really enjoy.
If you really do need to buy wheat beer from Australia rather than from those who are traditionally great at it, you're better off with White Rabbit. This is the first Mountain Goat beer I've tried that I failed to enjoy.
