Great value wine, on my list as a good summer quaffer

Good value. Marsanne grape dry & not too full bodied. Comparable to a good Chablis.

We buy this French wine at a discounted price. We like the area where these grapes are growing.

Quite simply, the 2020 is a totally different wine from the previous 9(??) vintages I’ve loved. For whatever reason they have applied a liberal amount of oak to the latest crop - so it’s much smoother and toastier than previous It now reads much more as a Chardonnay style rather than the crisp honeysuckle that has characterised this wine for so long. Not worse, maybe even better - definitely different.

Having recently discovered this variety, it’s my favourite white wine. Somewhere between Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc for my taste. A great all rounder white.

First discovered at Chateau Tahbilk. An unusual grape that should be planted much more. Delicious wine with body, for any season!
