Steve Pannell does great things with Grenache and as a result some of his blends and Syrah/shiraz sometimes got overlooked or not given due credit. That stopped a couple of years ago when he won the Jimmy Watson with his Adelaide Hills Shiraz. This "The Vale" blend is a ripper drink now and will get better with age, if you can leave it alone for a few years.
