Another under license product brewed by incompetent brewers. Way to go ruining my favorite beer.

The Australian brewed cans are disgusting. Tastes like suckling on coffee grounds. It is no surprise to me that the 0 cans still imported from Ireland have high ratings while these have dropped down to 2 stars.

I didn't want to believe it after reading several reviews and articles online, so I did a back-to-back taste test with an Irish imported version. The Australian version has a distinct unpleasant bitterness and acidic taste. Compare to the smooth and delicious Irish version, I am disappointed how Lion Nathan got this wrong. Unfortunately, when drinking at pubs, we have no choice as all draught kegs are Aussie made. So for home, I'll be buying the proper Irish imported cans elsewhere.

I've been buying the 440 mL cans from independent bottle shops. It's only when they run out (which is often) that I'll buy a 6 pack of the Lion brewed vastly inferior product. The Lion product has a metallic aftertaste and is nothing like unique, special taste of a real Guinness.

Imported from Ireland is so much better than this locally brewed beer

Always a great beer for any occasion and perfect with a nice steak
