This is a very drinkable wine, the flavours were light and very enjoyable. I had this with a turkish meal and the flavours complimented it very nicely.

This wine turned out to be a perfect match with a duck Cassoulet, it has the body and the structure to match a strongly-flavoured dish like that. There's good depth and length as well. The flavour spectrum runs from cherry fruit to gamey, meaty and earthy notes. Oak plays a minor role but adds a touch more interest. This is breathtaking value at $20. I've tried both the 2009 and 2010, and they're very similar. Tarrawarra has built a strong reputation for consistent quality, and Clare Halloran the winemaker clearly isn’t leaving anything to chance.
