If you want a Pinot with some length and a real rounded finish, then you can’t go wrong. It’s not silky smooth, it has a very special character that I would call a strong note, which I love. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

At $30-$32 this is exceptional buying. Medium bodied richness, full palate, just a lovely drink. 5 stars (2020).

I spent a year in Martinborough in 1965 where this wine comes from when it was known as hunting, shooting sheep country. However the rich alluvial soils proved to be similar to the Marborough wine region and ideal for quality reds. This Te Kairanga pinot noir has all the aromas and refreshing taste that remind me of the rich green valley, the shaky quakes and the gales straight from the Antarctic. What a great year I had and now a wine which reminds me how good it was.
