I try this out as a friend wants to buy it as a gift. I decanted for 30 minutes. The wine has medium purple hue. On the nose, it has hints of blackberry & cherry. When tasting, I couldn’t find any distinct notes. 2nd glass - a subtle hint of earthy aromatic like cream. The wine has medium and smooth body. When I sip, there is a sweetness on the tongue and quickly turn dry. The tanning linger much longer after sip. Low-mid acidity.

A Queenslander for the past 6 years but a West Aussie for 30 years prior (British-Israeli before then). A huge fan of Coonawarra (world's finest) but to see just how Margaret River has developed over the years - truly incredible, and winners of the "World's Finest Shiraz" more than once. I love the Cabernet-Merlot blend and this wine has such depth, absolutely beautiful! 9.7 / 10 for me!! Have spent a lot of time in the South of France, they cannot touch Australia for full (and mid) bodied Reds!! Outstanding!!

The 2019 is perfect, went down a treat and household favourite now. Rich flavour

I really tried to like the 2018 but couldn't. It was disappointing at this price point.

Very disappointed with the 2018 Cab Merlot, I can hardly drink it. Tried another WA Cab Merlot which was beautiful and that’s why I decided to buy this one. I will definitely not be buying it again

The 2017 vintage was perfection. 2016 is a close 2nd to the 2017 but am unable to find either vintage anywhere :( 2018 is quite bitter in comparison, but I'm yet to find anything better in that price range, thus only 4 stars can be given. Other 2018 Margaret River CM offerings are way too sweet.
