Not bad, but no Sauvignon blanc. Will be cool for cooking etc and passable when very cold. Bit sweet with a sherry edge. Not very crisp!

A friend recommended this wine, and for cask wine it is very acceptable. Of course I did not expect it to measure up to the Marlborough Sav Blancs. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

When you read "Sauvignon Blanc Reserve" on the cask box - don't think Marlborough or Margaret River regions...this wine is cheap 'goon'. It is very dark yellow in colour - as opposed to light & nearly clear. The flavour is strong and bold rather than dry & crisp. No where near a good SB. A cheap mid-week quaffer AT BEST! Do not serve to guests until after midnight...!
