One of several such wines made by Best, this one from Great Western. This will probably last in the bottle for a few years. A bargain at the price.

An outstanding Riesling from Bests, the best I can remember. well up to the best Australian Rielings such as Crawford River and Grosset. but much better value. Lovely dry style with crisp citrus palate and lingering taste. 2021 vintage tasted.

I ordered this wine online and was overcharged, then after having to follow the refund up through the online chat bot I was not refunded the correct amount. Fortunately the wine is lovely, but I wont be buying it through Dans again.

The current vintage from my Dan's is the 2019 which is a great drink with a finish that suits a plate of freshly shucked oysters or pan fried southern ocean fish, I have put away half a dozen which I'm looking forward to tasting over the next few years.

Its a nice Riesling but the year earlier had a better fruitier taste This year Riesling is still tasty

Rieslings from as far south as Great Western Victoria, Southern WA and Tasmania in my view can be extremely acidic and display much less of the individual fruit varietal characters in a cool year if the grapes don't get the regular amount of ripening and sugar levels. For me 2019 Great Western Victoria, this is one of those years. It takes on what I would describe as almost a toothpaste character and flavour Horrible really. Winemakers never tell you this. The varietal tasting notes on the bottle stay the same year on year based on the ideal year when the fruit varietal characteristics are at their best. But for now, avoid 2019
