Pinot Grigio/Gris is following the same predictable trajectory as the previous fad - sav blanc. Far too much is being produced with the same predictable results - too many insipid wines on the shelves.
But not this one. As a young wine it has a good flavour profile, right balance of fruit and dryness (acid) . Not a wine for the ages but very much in the drink now window. Cheap enough for a week day drink at home and good enough to take to your local Asian eatery if they still allow BYO.

Am an oaky chardy/cab sav drinke, don’t like most sav blancs, started trying Grigio, this is a cracker for an Australian wine, got it on special which was even better, my wife won’t drink anything but oaky chardy however she likes this one. Good body, don’t have too cold & really taste the white fruits.

Pinot Grigio
In the glass the wine is a pale straw colour with a youthful green hue. The nose is bursting with crisp pear and peach aromas. The palate offers distinct savoury characters and a tight finish. Unlike the French style which is richer on the palate, Pinot Grigio is crisp, fresh and savoury. Best enjoyed while young and fresh. Enjoy with garlic spaghetti, goat's cheese, and olives, or an antipasto platter loaded with artichokes, asparagus and prosciutto.
