First tried this wine when my first Grandson Henry was born, & he’s now 16, so a while

I have drunk this wine for years always as a special treat. Now I've decided to drink it any time you never know how long you've got. The latest 2022 Vintage in my opinion is too young to have the full fruity flavours I'm used to. I might put some away for a couple of years at least.

Very ordinary, tilting toward $10 bargain bin flavours on the palate. Assaulting the fridge and pantry both to find a complementary flavour pairing. Cheese, dried fruits and antipasto found it wanting. Two bottles over two evenings with different food pairings is very telling, it doesn’t appeal to all palates.

I found. 2017 at the back of the display. A highly rated wine and has got the lot. Great nose, excellent length and a beautiful finish. This is a must try wine if you like GSM.

excellent red wine that is priced under $50, don't need to buy a $50-$100 wines, very smooth and perfect tannin balance works with most foods. Have had it with lamb and beef perfect.

Usually you can't go wrong with a Henschke. I have had earlier vintages of this wine and they have been very enjoyable. Having said that, I bought 7 Bottles of the 2017 Vintage, one to try and from that, the others need to go to the cellar for at least another 3-5 years to then gradually explore again. The Wine itself displays way too much heat [predominant alcohol flavours] and is not yet as good as past glory's. There are hints of Plum, Pepper and Spicy Characters and a fine bled of smooth tannins, but this wine needs time, way more time.
