Based on reviews of 90/91 by Dan Murphys I purchased a bottle of Dogajolo which I recently shared with a friend. We are both keen wine drinkers & came to the same conclusion about the validity of your judgement. Based on this & previous poor recommendations I have decided to make my own judgement from now on.

Dry, fruity and smooth. It's one of my favourite in $15 range.

I didn’t think I could find a red wine that rivals Chambourcin, however this Sangiovese Cabernet easily ties for top place in one of my favourites! Smooth, easy to drink on its own or paired with pasta and other hearty meals.

I have drunk this wine a number of times over the years and recently tried another, expecting the same old easy soft drinking as I recalled. The lovely label may be the same but perhaps the composition has changed, whether seasonally or whatever. It claims to be a super Tuscan, but that apparent Prestige label claim seems unmet to my taste. I was expecting a softer chianti style but this seemed somewhat harder and unusual for an Italian wine at this price. Although one would not expect it would require years in the cellar to improve, it certainly did not impress me. Generally I would regard a $15 Italian, Spanish or Portuguese red as better value than an Australian one at same price.. However not on this occasion, even if the label is still very pretty, for those easily swayed by such things.

Used to be our 'go to' Italian in its price range. Still like it and will always buy on special, but have discovered other options in the Italian corner at my local Dan's.

Great medium bodied blend with smooth and soft finish. Goes well with meals but also sweet desserts!
