A shocker of a barolo

I had the 2015, only recently (2023) and it was a disastrous wine. Note to self: if there is still a 2015 barolo on the shelf, there is good reason: nobody is buying it, because it is absolute garbage. I tried to decant the 'bad' out of this barolo, no joy there either. Walk straight past this one and save your money.

The Rizieri Barolo is primarily produced from the esteemed La Morra area, with its clayey, slightly calcareous and moderately sandy soils.
Intense garnet red with brick reflections, and a bouquet of forest underbrush, sage, wild berries and a subtle whiff of leather. Full-bodied with notes of cinnamon, liquorice, macerated cherries and raspberry jam, supported by silky, soft tannins. A fresh, modern Barolo that demonstrates both elegance and complexity.
