Notes of boxie. Flat flavour, except for astringent aftertaste, with a hint of toluene. Adventurousness does not always pay off. Double the money, but try a Murphy goode zinfandel if you want to get something exotic, extraordinary, and funky AND actually good🍷

Being an Argentinian wine I thought this would be a "new world" wine with some life in it, but instead this is a flat dull lifeless "old world" type wine. This is not my style of wine at all. I will stick to drinking Bleasdale Malbec which I have drunk for years now.

This review is for the 2019 vintage - but they had 3 different vitntages on the shelf so make sure you check so that you're comparing apples to apples. This is a simple, inoffensive wine, quite smooth and mostly unremarkable. Normally I disagree with the idea that wine needs complexity to be great - but in this case, I'd say this wine is actually a bit one-dimensional, which isn't the same as simple. It basically has some plum and some oak and that's about it. Fine tannins...it's a little underwhelming overall. Those looking for a bigger, full-bodied wine with some substance will likely be disappointed here. It's not a bad wine, and if someone served it to me I'd happily drink it. But I wouldn't buy another bottle or recommend it to someone.

Unless I had an off bottle but it did pop when opened. Do not buy. Unpleasant taste. Try other Malbecs for the same price. This one is going to disappoint. Smells ok but the taste is horrendous. Had to use it for cooking.

malbecs have 3 or 4 things going for a under $20 wine, normally a full bodied taste wine ,sometimes confronts people (i dont know why ),full ripe spicy plummy ....this mendoza has a very very light hint sometimes on the nose ,sometimes not ,i think......always goes well with red meats ,duck ,bbqs,,,spaghetti bol. a couple of meat pies or just a mid winter conversation.............

Having recently acquired a taste for Malbec, I thought I'd give this one a go. Opened it over dinner with Chilean friends, and considering they dislike Argentians it went down quite well. Would definitely buy again although my friends said (not surprisingly) Chilean Malbec is better. ;)
