Had my eye on the Oban 14 for a while but this has probably put me off. Nose a lot of peach a little spice slightly red wine at firsts. If you blind folded me I would say I was drinking Johny walker green with a good splash of water but noticably younger not that I have had green lately but that was the first thing to come to mind. Fair wack of alcohol burn up front flavor wise it's lacking in every aspect the flavors are all there a little smoke,brine,stone fruit and spice but all are far to light and muted. There's nothing particularly bad about it but there's also nothing particularly good about it either. Also it's a shame they wrapped the bottle in black plastic rather than using black glass or a standard bottle with a black label not that it really matters but it does cheapen the experience a little.

Can't believe it's a scotch - just too sweet. More like a liqueur. Barely any smoke. Value for money ??.... I think not !! Overall 2 stars.
