I first discovered IPA's a few years ago on a road trip up the western coast of the USA sampling from many boutique breweries along the way, and there were many good ones (highly recommended trip). Torpedo was my favourite and was so pleased that Dan's have started stocking it. It's certainly not as sweet or fruity as many OZ IPA's this beer has a great head and some bitterness, barley is of the delicately burnt (caramalised) variety with good hops. My only disappointment is with the high tax the government applies to high alcohol beer. If you like Cooper's Sparkling like I do, chances are you'll love Torpedo!

This is a beer for lovers of IPA...The hops came in just right and this beer is a real contender. The price could use a reality check though....as would all IPAs generally...this has local equivalents but is still better value despite being an import...
