I bought it because it was there and I was interested. Not terrible...it's just...exactly what it says..."refined with code"... AKA refined by men in white coats. I would have preferred to dislike this whiskey because it was too extreme - one way or the other but it is so middle of the road, it is ordinary. This is the Butter Chicken of Single Malts. Enough happening to keep you interested but never really ever going anywhere near a Vindaloo or a Tindaloo level. I'll drink it but it'll be my last bottle. For another $20 I could have had a Kilochman Askaig...it's what being a tight with a few dollars gets you.

Too sweet and smoky. Something feels out of balance but overall it is OK, particularly after a week or two from opening it mellows and become more paletable.

You get watery butterscotch. It’s sweet. That’s it. I was curious to see what such an enormous distillery could come up with for $100. Now I know.

From the moment you open the bottle and the aroma hits, you know you have a winner. If you like peated whisky then this is a must try and it does not disappoint.

Not being one to enjoy peated whiskey this was very surprising. Looking forward to the next bottle
