We went to grab a Haymans Sloe gin from Dans, as hubby and I hardly drink but wanted to have a drink to bring in the new year. Uncle Dan's had ran out of Haymans so after humming and harring over all the other choices on offer we went went this Gin. Whatever they use as their base mix is very cheap and you can really taste it, no amount of flavouring is going to make that right. Shocking. We couldn't even finish one drink.

On the sweeter side; all you can taste is the sloe.

If this is typical of a Sloe Gin then I will avoid in future. It's not that its bad it's just that other Gins are so much better. Working my way through it so I can get back to one I really enjoy.

This Gin is ludacriously bad. Like other reviewers have said, it is overly sweet to the point where it resembles a liqueur more then Gin. If you like Chambord, you might enjoy this, otherwise avoid at all costs. The other Gin Lanes are decent, but this is bottom tier cough syrup.

Great with soda, lets the berry taste come through.

I usually get the English sloe gin but it doesn’t travel well. This gin was lovely
