I often become annoyed when reading these Dan Murphy reviews because they, more often than not, lack relevance to the vintage on offer. So, for this, I'm writing of the 2018 vintage. Just a BBQ wine. More acid than fruit, nice tannins but the overall balance didn't do it for me. I would only recommend a wine to friends if it was more than 'good'. This one is ok for a budget wine - that's all

Lovely smooth flavour to this Krondorf Barossa Shiraz Cabernet. Very easy to drink – the bottle might be empty quicker than you expect! An enjoyable red wine that you can drink any day of the week. I don’t normally venture too far from the Shiraz aisle, but tried this when it was on special and was very happy that I did. Have added this to my ‘buy it again’ list.

This wine has enough interest for your tastebuds and a good option for all red drinkers (especially if you have guests and are a little unsure of what they like). Maybe it’s a bit of a fence sitter but that’s ok every now and then.
