This was a happy find one afternoon at DM's. On special, why not give it a crack? Well, I'm glad I did! I ended up going back to pick up four boxes! I have found some variation between bottles, but overall, its a very enjoyable wine, medium to lighter style, with a dusky hint of tannin and in the really good bottles, a hint of sweetness that mellows it and gives it an elegance that just seems to float- a gorgeous sipper. The other bottles have more of an astringency that needs to be paired with food, but you name it, it should go quite well. It would complement a marinated chicken fillet or pork tenderloin with a savory sauce. Perhaps a fatty pork scotch fillet, or even some specialty sausages or bratwurst. It might even match the creaminess and spice of a curry quite well.
