Why would you bother buying hot climate Pinot Noir or even cool climate Syrah when you can get a red wine as light, soft and supple as this?

Oaky and plum on the nose, fruity with a hint of spice on the palate. Quality!

I normally err towards Aussie wines, but this one is delightful. Light and easy to drink, easy with food or on its own. Would recommend as a good priced drink.

It's fruity and smooth, a very easy dinner drink. I will definitely be buying more of this.

2018 vintage: this has an intensely perfumed nose of red berry coulis (predominantly raspberry to my nose but there seems to be strawberry in there too). Really beautiful just to inhale. Quite light on the palate...not nearly as intensely flavoured as it is scented, but it's still pleasant. Needs a little bit of time and air to open up properly - I'd probably decant it for 30 minutes or so. I'm noticing that the balance is ever-so-slightly off, though not to a degree that people who weren't paying attention would notice. I feel that the the alcohol (even though it's only 13%) and perhaps the tannin *ever so slightly* overpowers the less-intense fruit on the palate. I'm still quite enjoying drinking it, so it's not a big flaw by any means, and for $15 it's a nice wine that I'm glad I bought - just a minor thing. Will be interesting to see if that balance changes favourably as the tannins soften up a little more over the next couple days and the fruit becomes more pronounced

European wines at this price point usually disappoint. Not this one!
