Wow what a beer. Busy workday, clean up, and open the top. Great aromas from the start, and a great taste profile. I savoured this beer from my Belgian beer glass from start to finish and at 9.1 percent alc it is good value for the money, and with that I went out and bought a ctn - though that took some tracking down .Well done Moa!

Great Double IPA with some nice yeast flavours

A double IPA is traditionally higher in alcohol than the standard IPA. At 9+%, the alcohol in this beer has a nice warming effect.
Usually an IPA would be combined with an American or English yeast, which provides little in the form of flavour from the fermentation. Adding the Belgian yeast strain to it, has given it a nice edge over the standard IPA/ IIPA. It's slightly more complex and fruity because of this.
As for the hopping schedule, it does offer a good punch of hops, but I would have preferred a bit more aroma (e.g. more late addition/ dry hopping).
I thoroughly enjoyed this beer, 4 stars overall.

MOA Royal Belgian IPA was originally a special brew for the West Coast IPA challenge. Unique dry hopping occurs in the fermenter/conditioning tank as opposed to the kettle. A variety of hops are added throughout; at the beginning of the boil for bittering and late for dryness. This technique produces a well-balanced Double IPA.
