A beautiful example of the quintessential McLaren Vale Shiraz style, full of berry flavour and McLaren Vale soil. Simply put - just fantastic with a little hint of spice at the very last of the aftertaste. It cries out for smoky Bar-B-Q red meat rare rather than overdone. A really great wine at this price.

A very pleasant big McLaren Vale shiraz that would probably benefit from a few years in the bottle.

I agree with the description: "flavours of dark cherries and chocolate". Fruit is strong. There is a hint of sweetness. However it has more depth than some other young reds that taste like alcoholic fruit juice. The wine is bigger in the mouth than on the nose. The nose is gentle and smooth: there is none of that potent ester/ketone thing that characterises 'rough reds', and reminds me of an organic chemistry prac. This is a class wine, but softer than typical for McLaren Vale. Pair this with pasta, pizza (home made of course, not the overly salty stuff you get in the High Street), or perhaps Greek-style stuffed mushrooms, or a cheese platter. I would be interested to hear the comments of other reviewers.

Very nice drop. Not in the same class as the heavy Langhorne Creek or Coonawarra Shiraz with a full pepper taste, but still an excellent red in my humble opinion

This could well be my new favourite under $20 Shiraz. Grab it while it still is under $20 !

Great easy drinking red. Very enjoyable. Was ideal after about 1 hr of airing. I will buy again.
