Some time ago I was able to pick up a discounted bottle of the Herradura double barrelled reposado and it was pressed into Margarita duty. It was only at the end of the bottle that I tried it straight and it was fantastic. Im single malt all the way, but that tequila was right up there. Unfortunately, Dan Murphy's no longer stock it. I tried the anejo, but I didn't like it as much, so I'm going to have to keep taste testing different brands until I find an acceptable substitute

Best shooting Tequila , so smooth, no burn but still has that warm invigorating feeling in the body. Flavour is rich and gentle, almost feels like its not 40% because its so smooth. Goes great with Coopers Pale Ale.

Sipping this on the rocks is great, reminds me of whiskey somewhat in that almost has some kind of ashy smoky-ness to it but with agave background flavour.

For the price I think this is one of the best sipping Tequila's on the market. Very smooth, no bitterness or aftertaste. This is the Tequila equivalent of a fine single malt scotch.

I have tried many Tequila's (under $100) this so far has been the Best.
