I had a bottle of Maschio Prosecco sitting in a gift hamper ready for a client. Out of nowhere, it exploded on its own — and it wasn’t even a hot day. Thankfully it hadn’t been given to my client yet. It was quite shocking and honestly a bit scary. The glass shattered unexpectedly and could easily have caused injury. I’d be concerned about the safety of the bottle and whether this could happen again.
